More Then Your Average Webcast

Live streaming can be more than just a one-way broadcast. We provide bi-directional conversations between multiple endpoints. These endpoints include conference room systems (VTCs) and individual devices such as laptops, tablets and phones.

Every client is unique and so each of our solutions are unique. Popular solutions include:

  • Teleconferencing between a hospital and participants around the world
  • Broadcasting from an operating room to a remote site such as a convention
  • Producing an interactive teleconference with live chat to a moderator
  • Adding polling and analytics into the teleconferencing platform

Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s clarify what live streaming really is

Anyone with a cellphone can stream live to the internet or have a video conference, the difference with a “produced” broadcast is the quality of the stream. We use a lot of the same hardware and AV components as news stations so we can add overlays, graphics and pictures-in-picture effects.

A live broadcast is a one-way video streaming experience. Viewers typically don’t need to download any software to view the video. The number of viewers is almost unlimited. Communication between the viewers and staff on the broadcasting end are limited. Twitter and chat sidebars can be used in place of bi-directional communication.

A videoconference is a bi-directional video stream that usually requires the download of an app like GoToMeeting or Zoom Meeting. The number of users is limited to typically under 100. Chat, polling, and viewer management are built into the platform. This platform is used more for conversations between the surgeon and remote participants.

There is almost an unlimited number of ways to broadcast from a medical facility.  Below are the most common options we use:

  • One way live stream
  • Embedded in an app like GoToMeeting
  • Over VTC Equipment (Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize)

All our equipment is in hard cases and meant to be shipped around to locations. So, yes we are ready to come to you.
